
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player. She plays as an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team along with Carli Lloyd and Megan rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][99 Morgan was chosen as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. The team made her debut in professional football and helped the team win the league title. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest athlete in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, which the team finished second. She scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final game during the 2012 London Olympics. She finished 2012 with 21 and 28 goals. assists along with Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and provide 20 assists during the same calendar year and making her the sixth youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan also assisted in helping the United States win their titles in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments and also won the Silver Boot in 2019.
