Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. After her father left the family, she was grew up by her mother, godparents and grandmother. When she was a girl, Ford was battling anxious disorders, obsessive/compulsive and was afflicted by word associations. Ford became attracted to acting in her teenage years and enrolled in the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School. But after just one few weeks, she realized it was not suitable for her. Ford later applied to be a student at the Central School of Speech and Drama and received an acceptance on her fourth attempt. Shaun Dingwall was one of Ford's classmates. The actor went on to get regular roles in the shows Pete Tyler and Doctor Who. Ford earned her bachelor's degree in 1993. However, prior to that, Ford made a television debut on Surgical Spirit in an episode that aired in the year 1991. Ford took the professional title of Catherine Tate. Tate was a part of such programs on television like The Bill, Men Behaving Badly as well as London Burning. Apart from her regular stage work, Tate was a part of in the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. Tate was recognized for her stand-up comedy and was added to her resume in the year 1996.
